Our esteemed academician Melike Günyüz makes a unique contribution to the critical reading of Turkish children's literature with her study titled "Kök Metinler, Metinlerarası İlişkiler, Karşılaştırmalı Okumalar". She also encourages the effort of studying children's literature as an academic subject with the comparative readings in that she seeks the origins of the children's literature texts we read today in anonymous texts written in Oghuz Turkish during the 14th and 15th centuries. Advocating the study of children's literature as an academic subject proper, her approach blurs the boundaries between children and adult-literature
