Our students of the Department of Comparative Literature visited the printing house within the scope of “Editorship and the Publishing Industry” course taught by Lecturer Dr. Melike Günyüz. During the visit on May 3, 2024, they had the opportunity to closely follow and analyze the book printing processes through Mega Basım company, which exports 65% of its production to 30 different countries with a printing facility of approximately 15,000 m2.
During the visit organized under the guidance of Dr. Melike Günyüz, Mega Basım company officials gave our students detailed information about the history of printing, technological developments and modern printing techniques used today. After the visit, Dr. Melike Günyüz emphasized the importance of students reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with practical applications and emphasized that such visits contribute greatly to their professional development.
