Our Department Attends a Performance of “Richard III”
Students and lecturers of the Department of Comparative Literature attended a performance of “Richard III” staged by the Schaubühne Berlin ensemble.

On November 19, students from the Comparative Literature Department attended a performance of Richard III, one of William Shakespeare’s most renowned works, staged by Thomas Ostermeier and the Schaubühne Berlin ensemble. Our students were accompanied by our lecturers Hatice Kübra Yeğin and İclal Didem Arvas.

Directed by Ostermeier, one of contemporary theater’s most prominent figures, the play remained faithful to the original text while incorporating the director’s unique interpretation, resulting in a powerful production that received critical acclaim. Our students highlighted not only Lars Eidinger’s exceptional performance but also the set and lighting designs, which enhanced the storytelling and deepened the play’s atmosphere.
