The study of Assist. Prof. Emine Hoşoğlu Doğan, Head of the Department of Comparative Literature at Ibn Haldun University, entitled “Türkçede Yazma” [Writing in Turkish] has been published in the book “Türkçenin Tarihi: Oğuz Lehçesinden İstanbul Türkçesine Pedagojik ve Matematiksel Bir Okuma” [The History of Turkish: A Pedagogical and Mathematical Reading from the Oghuz Dialect to Istanbul Turkish], released by Ketebe Publishing. In her study, Assist. Prof. Hoşoğlu Doğan examines various genres of writing in Turkish and explores the objectives, methods, and techniques of writing education for native Turkish speakers at different levels. She also addresses traditional and modern teaching tools, the fundamental principles of assessment and evaluation processes, the relationship of writing skills with listening, speaking, and reading skills, as well as sample learning experiences related to writing education.
Assist. Prof. Hoşoğlu Doğan’s work is significant in that it provides a pedagogical perspective on Turkish language teaching and offers a comprehensive approach to the development of writing skills.
