Within the scope of the Editorship and Publishing Industry course offered by the Comparative Literature Department, Asst. Prof. Melike Günyüz and our students participated in the “11th Istanbul Publishing Fellowship” program, held between 10–12 February 2026.
The event brought together 234 international publishers from 73 countries and 130 Turkish publishers, providing a platform for copyright and rights negotiations. During the program, our students had the opportunity to engage in one-to-one conversations with publishers and editors from different countries. They exchanged views on Istanbul’s role as an international copyright market and discussed the significance of meeting in Istanbul for the global publishing industry.
Throughout the program, students gained valuable insights into the international dimensions of the publishing sector by exploring the purpose and impact of the event for publishers from around the world, thereby enhancing their understanding of the global dynamics of the publishing industry.
