The First Meeting of the Ottoman Literary Theory Project was Held
The team members of the project titled "The Birth of Modern Literary Theory in the 19th Century Ottoman Caliphate" conducted by the Department of Comparative Literature of our University came together online on August 7th.

In the first meeting of the project titled "The Birth of Modern Literary Theory in the 19th Century Ottoman Caliphate", which is carried out by the Department of Comparative Literature of our University in collaboration with Cairo and Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta Universities, held online on August 7, University Lecturer Dr. Rahmi Oruç, Alaa Al-Barazi, a graduate of the Department of Comparative Literature of our University, and Maryam Kouk, a senior student, presented the findings of their literature review on Arabic literary theory.

Dr. Didem Arvas, a researcher from our department, and Dr. Akın Bulut from the Cenfer for Innovative Learning and Teaching Artificial Intelligence of our University, presented the application of our new project targeting TÜBİTAK.

Mr. Muhamad Kamal from Cairo University shared details about his work and the group agreed to collaborate on a paper in the near future.

Our department and the Cenfer for Innovative Learning and Teaching Artificial Intelligence will organize an online event in the future detailing innovative and active learning strategies that the project can benefit from.
